Spending time w/ Nana...

Nana came for a quick visit. Eli was in town visiting Isaiah and Nana was flying back to California with him. So, we had 3 days with her. Never enough time.

The 4th

We headed back to Arizona on the 4th of July...we stopped in Palm Desert, California to gas up at Sam's club.  I ran into Sam's to get some fireworks so we wouldn't have to worry about it when we got home. Well...I wish someone would have told me that fireworks are illegal in California now. I bought $40 worth of pop its and party favors...there was nothing you could put a match to. I felt so bad for the kids...they were all ready. We made some popcorn, set up our chairs and got the hose ready. Luckily Walmart is right down the street and had some fireworks...so we had a little firework show after all. We got to see the real deal firework show at Disneyland 3 nights in a row anyway.

Jake told me he was going to make something for the 19 firefighters that died...this is what he came up with!!! He's so thoughtful and creative.

BONUS!

The plan was to return to Arizona because Dad had to work on the 4th of July. But, last minute he found out he didn't have to, soooooooooo...we got to stay an extra day. So, we called up to Canoga and Oxnard and said we're on our way!! We stopped at Sarah & Fred's and got to see Dino, Natalie and Mike too. Then we headed to Oxnard and got to see Bob & Nana again, the GG's, Maya, Alec, Aunt Tev and Mike, Nina Anna and Natalie came by too. We are so blessed to have such awesome loving people in our lives. Bob made us an awesome dinner...tri-tip!! Thank you Dad, it was delicious...even the tri-tip we brought back home with us.

Happiest Place on Earth...

California Adventure & Disneyland in 2 days...Phew, we were tired but SO MUCH FUN! The kids had a blast. Sophie kept asking, "is this real or pretend?"

First time to Disneyland...Sophie got her ears

We had so much fun! But, so much walking and it was HOT. I think we rode almost every ride at Cal Adventure and got our fill at Disneyland. We had ice cream, cotton candy, popcorn, churros, frozen bananas...ahhh, so good so good. We are very blessed to be able to take our kids to experience Disneyland. Until next time...
