Daily stroll....

Everyday we try to take a walk around our neighborhood. The kids love getting out...and Mom needs the exercise. It's nice to see nature, the trees are starting to change, different flowers are blooming and we can say Hi to our neighbors. Well, this particular day was too cute. Jake decided he needed to wear 'Safety' gloves & glasses. I guess he takes after his Dad...
'Safety First'.
Gotta wear my gloves and glasses...Safety First!

Sophie loves riding in her little buggy...

Just cruisin'...

Um...Jake...are we stuck?

I can't wait to drive!
I was trying to capture a shot of Sophie in the buggy. I have the same picture of  Jake in this very same buggy at the same age...but I can't find it. But, once I do...I'll have to post it. Kids...they are so much fun...a pain in the rear sometimes...bring so much love into your life...and keep life interesting. Until our next stroll...

Halloween

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

We had a fun-filled Halloween weekend. We went to the Rio Grande zoo for ZOO BOO! Which was not worth it at all. It was very disorganized, tons of people, you had to wait in lines for everything, even to exit the park. We should have skipped it and just went to Old Town. That was nice, fun and relaxing. Not so many people, all the stores were giving out candy. Even the ice-cream shop gave out free ice-cream cones. And, finally...HALLOWEEN, we went to Hunington's for some pizza and tasty treats and then we all went trick-or-treating. We had a big group running from house to house, that was fun! Jake, yelled..."Trick or treat, smell my feet, gimme something good to eat" at almost every house...it was cute! You guys got so much candy. We got home and still had trick or treaters for awhile...when the doorbell would ring, Jake would yell, "more customers!".
Jake came up with some pretty crazy poses in his Dark Knight costume!

Jake found his gun from his Woody costume last year. Let's just say he shot it so many times...we made him take it over to Pa & Coco's.

Jake & Dad bouncing around at Zoo Boo

In old town...another crazy pose (um, did you learn that from crazy Mike?)

Jake decided to sit here and asked me to take his picture

Mmmmm...chocolate ice-cream

Mmmmm...Pumpkin ice-cream

Jake was so proud of his pumpkin...look at that sweet smile

Best buddies...Wolverine & Dark Knight

Scary teeth candy....
And, that's it...Halloween's over, until next year....
Halloween is so much fun with kids. I loved dressing them up...decorating our house, watching the Halloween cartoon specials and getting tons of candy! Hope everyone had a Happy Halloween! Now, let's get ready for Turkey day!

Updates on the kiddos

Just thought I'd document some stuff for you guys...

Let's start with Jake...my sweet Jake! The most beautiful boy ever.
Jake, you are so handsome. Your eyes are beautiful and are going to get you in trouble when you're older. Your intelligence amazes me, your vocabulary and the things you already know are so awesome. You are very inquisitive and curious about everything! You're all about tractors, trucks and construction sites...your most favorite being, John Deere! You have JD socks, books, toys, posters hanging in your room, and a mini JD that Pa & Coco got you last Christmas. You are so cute on it. Sophie likes to ride beside you...and she makes sure to hold on tight. Speaking of Sophie...you are such a good brother (when you want to be). You look out for her and love her. You call her Mama...it's so cute (that's what Dad & I call her too). She loves you...wants to do whatever you do. Sometimes you think it's funny...but sometimes you get annoyed with her too. Your most favorite cartoon is Phineas & Ferb. I think we have about 20 episodes recorded on the DVR. You watch it every morning and sometimes before bed. "Hey Ferb, I know what we're gonna do today". You are doing great at HOPE Christian. You really like it there. When I drop you off...you don't even look back...you just walk right in, sit down and start playing. That makes me happy! Your favorite foods are lucky charm cereal, Babybel cheese, red grapes and chips! You love to dance and have a great sense of humor. I could go on and on...but, just know that everyday is different and you teach me something new. I love you more than you'll ever know.

As for my Sophie, well...where do I start? You are so gorgeous! I love your beautiful skin and hair. Already got so much personality for such a little thing. You're walking everywhere...starting to run...following your brother everywhere, even into the bathroom! You are a little monkey...monkey see, monkey do! You are trying desperately to talk...not sure what you're saying, but you are definitely talking. And, you use your hands too...it's really cute. The words I can make out are; outside, hot, yeah, papa, Dad, Mom, Jake, Bob and Pa. You are all about jewelry and love to wear necklaces around your neck. And, when I put my makeup on, you like to put lipstick and then I say, "oh, how perdy" and you give me this big smile. You love going on walks and ride in your little buggy. And, you have a temper, you're very determined and make it very known when you want something. You are very friendly, when we're out in public you wave and say Hi or Bye to people. You're just irresistible girl. Oh, and the cutest thing of all...when you're done eating, you throw all your food on the floor...yea, not so cute. You eat almost anything. And, once we're all done eating together at the table...you go to Jake's seat and finish his food. It's like his taste better to you or something? And, when you get in trouble, you start crying and act like we hurt your feelings so bad. Then you go to the bathroom, get a tissue and blow your nose....drama queen! You are so smart...you understand everything we tell you. I look forward to watching you learn and grow.

I am a very proud Mom. I think you are the most beautiful kids in the world. We have a really blessed life. You have a Dad who always makes sure we are taken care of. He works really hard to make our lives easier. He's an amazing man, father & husband. We both love you and always will.

Halloween Party

We went to our friend, Alana's Birthday/Halloween Party this weekend. It was fun! All the kids looked so cute in their costumes. Jake was the coolest Dark Knight and Sophie was the cutest little Minnie Mouse ever. Well, at least I thought so. Good times with good friends. Halloween is almost here!

Alec and his friends on their way to the dance...

We were not able to be there to see Alec get crowned. But, we are so proud, how exciting for Alec and what a great high school memory for him. Alec is an amazing person. He will always always hold a special place in my heart. Still remember singing this song to him, "he's an oso and an oso and oso perdy bear...gimme kisses papa, I love you...papa papa papa!". And, when he learned to talk, he would sing it with me. Then he got to a certain age, and he didn't want me to sing it at all. I assured him I would always sing it to him...no matter what his age. Alec is going to graduate next year and go into the real world and I am positive he will be a success! Congrats Alec!
