Happy Mother's Day to me...

I was a very Happy Mom on Mother's Day! Jake, Sophie & Deon gave me some sweet cards, a beautiful plaque, flowers and my favorite...a jar of chocolate covered almonds. Deon kept asking me what I wanted to do, since it was my day. I told him that I would really like to take a nap. So, he and Jake went and hung out while Sophie and I took a nap. I slept for over 2 hours...oh, it felt so good. Esp. because the night before we were out late at the Isotopes game. After our naps, we played outside since the weather was absolutely perfect. I'm a very happy Mommy. My family is everything to me.
My beautiful daughter!

Look at those eyes! and look at Sophie peeking behind Jake's shoulder...funny

Little League Night

LITTLE LEAGUE NIGHT at The Isotopes Game. The team got to participate in a banner parade and walk around the field. It was so exciting. When they came around by us, Jake looked up and blew a kiss. It was so cute. And, Sophie was yelling, "JAKE". We all sat together and ate all the yummy stuff at the ball game. When the game was over they had a fire works show...it was awesome! Sophie & Jake were both amazed. We didn't get home and into bed until after 11. It was a late night for all of us, esp. the kids. But, we had lots of fun. Plus, the weather was beautiful. Go Lightning!

Getting ready for the game

I hope they are always this loving to one another

Lucky Me

The ultimate Mother! Mary, God Bless me and all the Mother's in our life. If I could only measure up to half of the woman, mother, wife and friend you are. Being a Mom is the best gift ever. No one can tell you exactly how it feels to be a Mom...you have to feel it for yourself. My kids are my world. They complete me and I couldn't even imagine my life without them. I thank God everyday for them, for their continued happiness, good health and protection.
Nana made this towel for Jake and now Sophie uses it...my little lyon

Jake invited me to a Mother's Day tea party at his school. All the mommies waited in the entry and  they came out to greet us and take us to our seats. So sweet...

My place setting.

Saying a prayer for the mommies...

We were so happy
always ready to pose for a picture

After dinner we took a walk  in Old Town and heard this band playing...Jake was getting down...playing air guitar and everything

I don't even have to explain how blessed I am...but just so you know... My kids are so beautiful, smart, healthy and light up my life. My husband takes care of me and loves me a lot. I have a family that loves and supports me always. We are truly blessed in every way and I'm so thankful. Happy Mother's Day!

A Very Blessed Easter

HAPPY EASTER
God, thank You for blessing me with everything I need to be successful in this life. Your word is truth and life to my soul. Help me keep my mind stayed on You as I meditate on Your goodness. In Jesus’ Name. Amen

We had a very nice day. First we started with some yummy donuts. We went to mass and we usually don't take Sophie to mass because she's not ready yet. But, we decided to take her since it was Easter and we wanted to go as a family. Well, she really confirmed why we don't take her yet. But, she made friends with everyone sitting around us and managed to fall off the bench a few times and checked out the lady's jewelry sitting next to us. But other than that, it was nice. Then we went home and made a delicious breakfast. We all decided we should take a nap. Sophie & Deon had no problem...Jake on the other hand, refused. So, he and I hung out until it was time to go to Pa & Coco's. Coco made a special Easter dinner for us. The kids looked for eggs and we finished the day off with cupcakes. What more could we ask for...
Sophie didn't quite get it yet...the concept of coloring eggs. But, Jake did...he took it very serious.

Sophie would drop the eggs in the dye...even after I would say, "gently". And when she'd take them out, I would tell her, "DON'T squeeze them", and she did. So, all the eggs she did were completely cracked. But, she had fun! We all did actually.

Jake decided it was easier to grab the eggs with his hand instead of that little tool they give you or a spoon...so he had really green hands...he thought that was cool.

The Easter Bunny made a stop at our house...they were so excited.

On our way to Coco & Pa's for the Easter Egg Hunt and Easter dinner

Here's my little girl, all dolled up. This was her 3rd outfit of the day

Pa & Jake...matching shirts.

Jake had no problem finding the eggs.

My precious babies

Sophie was more interested in the easter basket grass than the other stuff...oh, she did find a piece of gum...that she chewed for a few minutes before swallowing.

Sophie thought she was hiding back there, like no one could see her. And, Jake...he's pretending too.
GOD BLESS ALL OF OUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS. I HOPE YOU ALL HAD A BLESSED EASTER.

Lightning...Team Pictures!

Picture Day! Surprisingly, the boys did good and cooperated for the Team picture.  And, of course, we had to take some pictures of our own. So far the season is going good. Lots of work, coaching, being Team Mom...but just to see Jake have so much fun, makes it all worth it. They are getting better and better...I love watching their progress every week. Although, I can't keep the snacks in the dugout because all they want to know is, "what's for snack?", "when are we gonna have snack?". And Miss Sophie, the little mascot thinks she can boss all the boys around, and when they go to the outfield she goes through their stuff and tries all their drinks. And, she says, "READY SET GO!". Jake is getting better at running to 1st after he hits the ball. And, last weekend it was his turn to be catcher...the mask was too big and heavy...he couldn't even see the ball coming at him. It was funny. GO LIGHTNING!
