Just Peachy

We went to The Peach Festival this weekend. We had pancakes covered with peaches and creme. Then we took a hayride to the peach trees and got to pick bags of peaches. They are so delicious! The farm was full of fun stuff to do and good things to eat.
Nana Pat sent these pink cowgirl boots. Sophie insisted on wearing them! She was too cute to say, No

And my boy, always ready for a picture

There are plenty of trees and peaches to be picked

Sneak attack!

We took a last minute trip to Albuquerque. We didn't tell Coco & Pa we were coming. We decided to do a sneak attack and SURPRISE them! And, boy were they surprised. They were so happy to see the kids. We only stayed a few days. One day we decided to go hang out at the Sandia Casino pool. It was nice to hang out and relax. We all missed Dad though, wish he could have joined us.

On our way back we drove right by a huge fire...as we were approaching I thought we might have to turn around
We actually drove around it.

I had to stop and take some pictures

I wasn't sure what to title this posting...I felt like naming it, Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what your gonna get.  Life has been a little upside down since we moved. First of all, when we moved here at the end of February we moved into a rental and only unpacked half of our stuff. The other half is still in the garage. The ONLY good thing about having to move again so soon is that it's in the same city, rather than to another state. We are hoping that our new house will be ready for move-in within the next couple weeks. Kids have been keeping busy; Mom group activities/play dates, house hunting, getting familiar with the area and GOING TO THE PARK! There's a park at the end of our street, literally like 6 or 7 houses down. From the minute they wake up, they want to go to the park. And, if we don't go in the morning, we have to wait until after dinner, so it's a little cooler outside. Deon's working a lot, usually 6 days a week. So, when he's a home it's a treat. It's hard for him because he's so tired. And, I think it's hard for the kids too, because they just want to be with him. Hopefully our life will be back to "normal" once we move into our home, kids have summer camps in June and start school in July. I think once we restore some order in our lives, we'll be able to breathe and relax again.
so peaceful, so relaxed, so QUIET!

It's getting hot here! So thankful our cousins have a pool

Went on a hike with the Mom group...Cool place near the Phoenix sign
Old sign to direct travelers to Phoenix (mostly those on horseback, yea...that's how long it's been there)
The girl could swing all day. She's learning how to move her legs to swing herself.
Sophie's war wound. She says a kid hit her in the face with a stick. Jake says she tripped and fell on the stick.
I wish I would have gotten video of her performing, she was singing and dancing until she realized I was watching.

Amazed by my kids...

Some MAJOR milestones! Jake learned how to ride his bike WITHOUT training wheels. It's been about 2 weeks now and everyday we have to go practice. So, I watch him riding around and I think, "he's growing up so fast, pretty soon he'll be all grown up". So, I'm praying that I really focus on my kids and appreciate these things and the time I get to spend with them. And, Sophie is POTTY TRAINED! She's been wearing chonies for about a week/half now. All day and at night too and no accidents. I knew she could do it. I am so proud of them. Deon was so happy to have that moment with Jake. When he first took of the training wheels and taught Jake to ride.

The girl loves to play in the sand at the park

This is what we do almost everyday...go to the park and practice our riding skills and play.

Went to lunch the other day and Sophie tried onion rings...she loved them, pulled out the onion and ate the whole thing

My Easter Bunnies

HAPPY EASTER! We had a very happy and blessed Easter. The Easter bunny made a stop at our house. We spent the day with our cousins; barbecued, had water balloon fights and an egg hunt. It was a very nice day.

The New Mexico Easter bunny sent us a brand new snow cone machine. Mmmmm

Coloring eggs...messy!

Look at our perdy eggs

Sophie got some new goggles and decided to wear them

Hulahoop!

Jake wasn't sure about all that hulahoopin'

Jake got some new super soaker guns...

and the Monkey too
Thank you God for blessing us everyday. We are truly grateful and hope that you continue to watch over us. Hope everyone had a Happy Easter!

Kids!

So many photo opportunities, so little time! My kids have been trained, since birth to smile for the camera. Just some pictures of things we've been doing around town.

Big Bro - Little Sis

My little cowboy at Tempe Town Lake under the train bridge

Went to the mall and they had this 2 story merry-go-round, so you know we had to ride it

Whoa, we never rode a tiger before

We found a dollar theatre. Sophie sat threw the whole movie and then they played some video games. But, she was mad because Jake wouldn't let her play too.

Jake found the lawn mow (as he says) he wants

Dad bought VANS for everyone

Went back to San Tan Flat for lunch one day and they were pretending to drive the tractor

And the monkey too

Always having fun...

San Tan Flat

We drive by this place everyday...and everyday it's packed. The locals kept telling us about it, so we finally went and had so much fun! The perfect place for a little cowboy. Country music blaring, good barbecue, roast marsh mellows over the fire and a live country music band. There's a big ole dance floor where the kids play and show off their moves. It was really cute. So, anyone who comes to visit us will be having dinner there with us.
Marsh mellow roastin' time.
