Beautiful day for a hike

Spending the day with my kids is one of the best gifts in the world. I am blessed. I hope these kiddos want to spend time with their Mom for a long time to come. 

Some of Sophie's latest antics; she loves to make crafts, she loves her TV shows (Doc McStuffins, Paw Patrol, Peppa Pig and Curious George), she is so super smart, I mean amazingly smart. She says things that I would never expect from a 4 year old. She's already planning her 5th Birthday party. She wrote out her guest list, she wants a jumpy, a band, BBQ chicken and balloons!
Then there's Jake; he LOVES Football! He has learned all there is to know about football. He can explain plays and calls and all sorts of things I have no idea about. He has learned to ride his scooter so well, he does tricks and everything. He is becoming a good little soccer player too!! He's playing club soccer and he's doing awesome!! We love watching him.

The kids were both off for MLK day, so we went for a hike

We had a party at our neighbors house (the kids friend, Cameron's house). It was fun! The grown ups got to eat some yummy food and mingle and the kids got to play together.  We are really blessed to have such awesome neighbors!

We got a visit from Flat Stanley. He came to us by way of Ventura, California from our cousin,  Rebecca Walker. Her class was reading Flat Stanley books and they each sent their very own Flat Stanley on an adventure. We had to write letters back to her and send pictures of his adventures.

After our fun adventures, we sent Stanley on his way. He is on his way to spend some time in Texas with our friends; Hunter, Brooklyn and Jed. Then he'll go back to California. That was fun!

On the Polar Express...

What a way to spend Christmas Eve…we'll never forget it, that's for sure. We rode the Polar Express to the North Pole, got to see Santa (and hug him too). We got hot cocoa, cookies, a bell and special treats. It was quite an experience.

We had a very good Christmas. Santa definitely made a stop at our house. Pa & Coco came to visit and share the day with us. Happy Birthday to Jesus. Now, to ring in the new year…
