Princess Celebration

How lucky is that, both grandparents in town to celebrate your Birthday. Lots of love, as always. Sophie was super excited to have a giant sleepover (as she put it). Everyone arrived on Friday, which was Pa's Birthday. So, we celebrated with a delicious steak dinner with all the fixin's and birthday cake. So good! Then the big royal Princess 5th Birthday Party. Complete with cupcakes, a princess bounce house, magic wands, a cupcake piƱata and lots of presents! Sophie was definitely Princess for the day. We are so blessed to have such a loving family and wonderful friends/neighbors to share it with. God Bless our Princess Sophie today and always!

Birthday Celebration - Part 1

Ay, this girl! She's too much. Always making us laugh, keeping us on our toes and way too smart. But, we love you Sophie...we adore you and wish you a Happy 5th Birthday! I still can't believe you're 5! All I want you to know is that we love you, but most of all you are an amazing human being. I hope you continue to grow and learn to be a leader and a confident, strong person. You are such a loving, caring girl with a huge heart and I hope you always stay that way.

Miss Personality! Playing dress up in your brother's room.
Out of the blue, you came out in these outfits you put together in Jake's room. We were cracking up.
Birthday Star! We decorated your doorway the night before your birthday, while you were sleeping
Met our friends at the pool/water park on your birthday. Lots of fun!

Beautiful day for a hike

Spending the day with my kids is one of the best gifts in the world. I am blessed. I hope these kiddos want to spend time with their Mom for a long time to come.
Some of Sophie's latest antics; she loves to make crafts, she loves her TV shows (Doc McStuffins, Paw Patrol, Peppa Pig and Curious George), she is so super smart, I mean amazingly smart. She says things that I would never expect from a 4 year old. She's already planning her 5th Birthday party. She wrote out her guest list, she wants a jumpy, a band, BBQ chicken and balloons!
Then there's Jake; he LOVES Football! He has learned all there is to know about football. He can explain plays and calls and all sorts of things I have no idea about. He has learned to ride his scooter so well, he does tricks and everything. He is becoming a good little soccer player too!! He's playing club soccer and he's doing awesome!! We love watching him.

The kids were both off for MLK day, so we went for a hike
Beautiful blue sky and a handsome boy too
Took Sophie forever to come down this hill, she almost tip toed down the whole way
We had to investigate lots of plants and interesting looking things along the way

We weren't sure what this structure was?
This girl is TOO MUCH!
Helmet issues

Fun fun Fun

BirthdayParty for Jake's friend/teammate, Peyton

Playing a game with an Oreo cookie

Jake won the coloring contest!

And, so did Sophie!

We had a party at our neighbors house (the kids friend, Cameron's house). It was fun! The grown ups got to eat some yummy food and mingle and the kids got to play together.  We are really blessed to have such awesome neighbors!

Salute!

They have so much love for each other (most of the time)

We took a drive to Fountain Hills to see this huge 500 foot fountain.

The fountain produced so much wind and mist

This is a fence that had these beautiful flowers painted on it
