Going back to Cali...

On our way back to Cali to see Alec graduate from high school, celebrate and spend time with family.
The kids were so excited to take an airplane. Jake was such a good boy, but Sophie (on the other hand) was difficult. I think she was just too excited, she had to check everything out and explore. The good thing was the flight was not full and the rows in front and behind us were empty. So, there were no impatient passengers to annoy.

Jake pulling his suitcase...he's such a good helper

Here we go...Jake's going into Dodger stadium for the first time

Whoa...Look at the view

Wow Jake, it's the big leagues

There's downtown LA...fog and smog

Arrived on Nana's 60th birthday. We stopped at Porto's and got her a delicious strawberry, raspberry tart and of course, Jake & Sophie.

Lightning Pool Party

LIGHTNING POOL PARTY! Our season is over...we played our last game and had a team party poolside. We had some hot dogs, took a dip in the pool and played together one last time. We had fun, made some new friends and learned a lot about baseball, coaching and people. As long as Jake had fun, we were happy.

Jake's BIG day

1 year down, 13 more to  go. Jake's graduation from pre-k...a very first very proud day for all of us. He was so proud. He told Sophie the night before that they had to go to bed because tomorrow was his big day, his graduation. He told her again the next day when we were trying to get ready. They had to wear pajamas because it was called PJ Party...a prayer party. I sat them down to take pictures before we left, surprise surprise.
Hope Christian's Mission: To Pray for, Equip and Send Christ-centered, passionate leaders to change the world.
Jake took a break from his cereal to pose for a picture

Proud little sister!

Saying a prayer...see Jake in the middle, top row with an orange shirt on. For some reason, I think he got stage fright...he hardly sang and did all the things, I'm sure they practiced a lot. But, it was still cute and we were all screaming and yelling for him in the crowd.

I see you.......

SMILE Jake!

Hi Jake! They showed us some of the things they learned during the school year. They did the alphabet in sign language and counted to 20 in Spanish. Which most of us parents did not know. So cute!

Sophie got a balloon...she was happy!

Jake and his very proud Coco & Pa

WE LOVE YOU JAKE!

Enjoying a cupcake...Mmmmmm

We'll miss you Mrs. Millican

We love you Mrs. Zimmerly, thank you for everything!

One last pose at school

Celebration breakfast...Jake picked I-HOP

FUNNY! Jake's new thing...he pretends that he's talking on the phone to his boss. It's the funniest and cutest thing ever.

I feel like we'll be at Jake's high school graduation before we know it. He's so smart, funny, handsome, creative, rough & tough all boy. T-ball is wrapping up this week. Just signed up for soccer...looking forward to that.

Beautiful day for a bike ride...

The weather has definitely changed...Summer is growing near. It was a beautiful day for a bike ride. So, we put our sunglasses and helmets on and took off.
She kept her sunglasses on the whole time.

Jake got this cool new bike that attaches to Dads. He thought he was a big boy riding all by himself.

Happy Mother's Day to me...

I was a very Happy Mom on Mother's Day! Jake, Sophie & Deon gave me some sweet cards, a beautiful plaque, flowers and my favorite...a jar of chocolate covered almonds. Deon kept asking me what I wanted to do, since it was my day. I told him that I would really like to take a nap. So, he and Jake went and hung out while Sophie and I took a nap. I slept for over 2 hours...oh, it felt so good. Esp. because the night before we were out late at the Isotopes game. After our naps, we played outside since the weather was absolutely perfect. I'm a very happy Mommy. My family is everything to me.
My beautiful daughter!

Look at those eyes! and look at Sophie peeking behind Jake's shoulder...funny

Little League Night

LITTLE LEAGUE NIGHT at The Isotopes Game. The team got to participate in a banner parade and walk around the field. It was so exciting. When they came around by us, Jake looked up and blew a kiss. It was so cute. And, Sophie was yelling, "JAKE". We all sat together and ate all the yummy stuff at the ball game. When the game was over they had a fire works show...it was awesome! Sophie & Jake were both amazed. We didn't get home and into bed until after 11. It was a late night for all of us, esp. the kids. But, we had lots of fun. Plus, the weather was beautiful. Go Lightning!

Getting ready for the game

I hope they are always this loving to one another
