Halloween

We had a very Happy Halloween! Jake went dressed to school in his costume and had a party. We went to our first Trunk or Treat at a local nursury. It was a lot of fun. They had a jumpy, games, hay rides, face painting, food and plenty of candy. Then we came home to trick-or-treat. We got to meet some of our neighbors for the first time. Turns out Sophie's classmate lives on our street.

Jake's Field Trip

Jake's class went on a field trip to Schnepf Farms. We had lots of fun. I got to meet some other Moms

and see Jake interact w/ his classmates. We rode some rides, went down the big slide about 20 times, had lunch together, played and picked out some pumpkins. Sophie was not able to go since they did allow siblings to go. But she was so happy to go to work and spend the day with Dad. The only problem was that she wouldn't use the restroom there(out houses only). She said they were stinky! Such a girly girl.

GOAL!

Jake started soccer today! He is on the Sharks this year. I think Jake was the only one with experience. The other kids were rookies, scared or crying. Jake attempted to make a goal 3 different times...he almost had it! He did really good. It was only the first game, so I'm sure the team will get better and better. It was fun, that's all that matters.

And, just a side note but something that has to be mentioned. We got through our first summer here in Arizona This morning it was about 86 degrees w/ a COOL BREEZE. Thank you Lord! The highs are still in the mid-90's...but nothing compared to 117+. 

Jake is 6

HAPPY 6th BIRTHDAY to JAKE! We had a very wonderful day celebrating with Jake. He had a party at Peter Piper Pizza (much better than C.E.Cheese). We had lots of fun with family and friends. Jake's such a big boy now, so smart and becoming more and more amazing with each year. We love you Jake!

I was cleaning my room so Sophie decided to set up her bed in my bathroom. 

First Toof

Jake lost his first tooth! It had been loose for awhile. The tooth was even dangling there, just holding for a few days. But, he refused to let us pull it. Then one day, he was eating a little snack bag of cookies and the tooth fell out. He thought there was something funny in the cookie, spit it out and then realized it was his tooth. He was screaming, crying and laughing all at the same time. We both laughed and hugged. He was so excited to put it under his pillow for the Tooth Fairy. A week later...the tooth right beside it fell out. Phew...this tooth fairy thing is going to be expensive.

Weekend trip...

Last month we took a weekend trip to Albuquerque. Deon had the whole weekend off...so we went to visit Coco & Pa. Deon hadn't been back to New Mexico since we moved 6 months ago. It was quick, but the kids got lots of grandparent time.
