Just Peachy

We went to The Peach Festival this weekend. We had pancakes covered with peaches and creme. Then we took a hayride to the peach trees and got to pick bags of peaches. They are so delicious! The farm was full of fun stuff to do and good things to eat.
Nana Pat sent these pink cowgirl boots. Sophie insisted on wearing them! She was too cute to say, No

And my boy, always ready for a picture

There are plenty of trees and peaches to be picked

Sneak attack!

We took a last minute trip to Albuquerque. We didn't tell Coco & Pa we were coming. We decided to do a sneak attack and SURPRISE them! And, boy were they surprised. They were so happy to see the kids. We only stayed a few days. One day we decided to go hang out at the Sandia Casino pool. It was nice to hang out and relax. We all missed Dad though, wish he could have joined us.

On our way back we drove right by a huge fire...as we were approaching I thought we might have to turn around
We actually drove around it.

I had to stop and take some pictures

I wasn't sure what to title this posting...I felt like naming it, Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what your gonna get.  Life has been a little upside down since we moved. First of all, when we moved here at the end of February we moved into a rental and only unpacked half of our stuff. The other half is still in the garage. The ONLY good thing about having to move again so soon is that it's in the same city, rather than to another state. We are hoping that our new house will be ready for move-in within the next couple weeks. Kids have been keeping busy; Mom group activities/play dates, house hunting, getting familiar with the area and GOING TO THE PARK! There's a park at the end of our street, literally like 6 or 7 houses down. From the minute they wake up, they want to go to the park. And, if we don't go in the morning, we have to wait until after dinner, so it's a little cooler outside. Deon's working a lot, usually 6 days a week. So, when he's a home it's a treat. It's hard for him because he's so tired. And, I think it's hard for the kids too, because they just want to be with him. Hopefully our life will be back to "normal" once we move into our home, kids have summer camps in June and start school in July. I think once we restore some order in our lives, we'll be able to breathe and relax again.
so peaceful, so relaxed, so QUIET!

It's getting hot here! So thankful our cousins have a pool

Went on a hike with the Mom group...Cool place near the Phoenix sign
Old sign to direct travelers to Phoenix (mostly those on horseback, yea...that's how long it's been there)
The girl could swing all day. She's learning how to move her legs to swing herself.
Sophie's war wound. She says a kid hit her in the face with a stick. Jake says she tripped and fell on the stick.
I wish I would have gotten video of her performing, she was singing and dancing until she realized I was watching.
