Putting up the tree

They put up the Christmas tree in Old Town this weekend. So, Jake & Dad went to check it out. We heard there were lifts and cranes and we all know those are some of Jake's favorite things. Jake was amazed and posed for pictures too! He even brought me back a piece of the tree...it smells so good...Christmas is coming!

Love you Jake

Albuquerque Turkey

Today we celebrated Thanksgiving with Pa & Coco since we will be in California on Thanksgiving day. I made the turkey and all the trimmings...and it was delicious(if I do say so myself)!

Big Brother & Little Sister...matching shirts

I tried to get them to pose together and by themselves...

Sophie was amazed by this pinwheel

Whoa Pa...this is fun!

Love to see that smile!

Look at Jake...cracking up!

Look at them, whatever Pa's doing...they think it's hilarious!
We wish we could be in two places at once when it comes to celebrating holidays. We are looking forward to our trip to California. We haven't all been out there since Christmas, last year. It will be nice to see everyone and spend some time together. Lots to be Thankful for!

Sweetest thing ever...

Haven't really taken any pictures this week...
Jake's been sick with the flu so we've been hibernating inside getting better. Even though, Jake's sick and been acting crazy he did the sweetest thing the other day. He and Sophie were sitting on the stairs talking and drinking some Gatorade. Now that Sophie is walking and trying to talk...they play together more and interact with each other. So, Jake's sitting there talking to her and telling her how to do things and she's looking up at him with adoring eyes, as usual. He looks at her and says, "Sophie, I like you". She was smiling at him from ear to ear. And, I just smiled and had to stop and count my blessings...esp. the two sitting on the stairs in front of me. It's those moments that make me really BELIEVE in God, in my purpose as a Mom (esp. a stay-at-home Mom) and how wonderful my life is.

GO LOBOS!

The UNM Lobos Football team WON! They finally won a game and we were there to witness it. They beat The University of Wyoming. Final score -- 34 / 31
Jake, Pa, Dad and I went to the game care of Klinger. We had really good seats...for watching the game and also people watching.

On our way to the game...Jake's ready!
Trying to get a picture of Jake & Pa...he wouldn't cooperate, so Pa was telling him to look up.
Hi Jake
Hey Dad...I think they're gonna win!

Jake had to go check things out...
He came back with this football. He loved it. He actually took it to bed with him that night.
After they won the game...the fans rushed the field...it was very exciting!
PROOF!
Yeah Lobos!
Sophie stayed home with Coco...she did her own hair. Perdy Mama!
She's too much!

A great night out...the weather was perfect, Jake had a blast and they WON...Go Lobos!

Daily stroll....

Everyday we try to take a walk around our neighborhood. The kids love getting out...and Mom needs the exercise. It's nice to see nature, the trees are starting to change, different flowers are blooming and we can say Hi to our neighbors. Well, this particular day was too cute. Jake decided he needed to wear 'Safety' gloves & glasses. I guess he takes after his Dad...
'Safety First'.
Gotta wear my gloves and glasses...Safety First!

Sophie loves riding in her little buggy...

Just cruisin'...

Um...Jake...are we stuck?

I can't wait to drive!
I was trying to capture a shot of Sophie in the buggy. I have the same picture of  Jake in this very same buggy at the same age...but I can't find it. But, once I do...I'll have to post it. Kids...they are so much fun...a pain in the rear sometimes...bring so much love into your life...and keep life interesting. Until our next stroll...

Halloween

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

We had a fun-filled Halloween weekend. We went to the Rio Grande zoo for ZOO BOO! Which was not worth it at all. It was very disorganized, tons of people, you had to wait in lines for everything, even to exit the park. We should have skipped it and just went to Old Town. That was nice, fun and relaxing. Not so many people, all the stores were giving out candy. Even the ice-cream shop gave out free ice-cream cones. And, finally...HALLOWEEN, we went to Hunington's for some pizza and tasty treats and then we all went trick-or-treating. We had a big group running from house to house, that was fun! Jake, yelled..."Trick or treat, smell my feet, gimme something good to eat" at almost every house...it was cute! You guys got so much candy. We got home and still had trick or treaters for awhile...when the doorbell would ring, Jake would yell, "more customers!".
Jake came up with some pretty crazy poses in his Dark Knight costume!

Jake found his gun from his Woody costume last year. Let's just say he shot it so many times...we made him take it over to Pa & Coco's.

Jake & Dad bouncing around at Zoo Boo

In old town...another crazy pose (um, did you learn that from crazy Mike?)

Jake decided to sit here and asked me to take his picture

Mmmmm...chocolate ice-cream

Mmmmm...Pumpkin ice-cream

Jake was so proud of his pumpkin...look at that sweet smile

Another crazy pose

Scary teeth candy....
And, that's it...Halloween's over, until next year....
Halloween is so much fun with kids. I loved dressing them up...decorating our house, watching the Halloween cartoon specials and getting tons of candy! Hope everyone had a Happy Halloween! Now, let's get ready for Turkey day!
